If you want a place where you can do it all this is the place for you. We loved it! It's best to plan on making this place an all day adventure. We were overwhelmed with the beauty and how nice people were to us while visiting the eco-archaeological park. It's like no other place We have ever been too. You have to go here ! The restaurants are great. Swimming with the dolphins, horseback ridding, exploring the underground rivers, viewing the many amazing aquariums full of tropical sea life, the list goes on and on and on. There is an entrance fee of around $100 US dollars per person.
While we were there we snorkeled the underground rivers and seen many fish. Snorkel equipment can be rented for a small fee and you get to keep the snorkel. All of the snorkels are brand new for your safety. We were also given life vest to wear, they were required while snorkeling the underground rivers. We snorkeled under water falls and even into underground caves. We also snorkeled through a Mayan village that is part of Xcaret. Make sure you take a good pair of walking shoes so when you are done snorkeling you will be able to walk in comfort. While you are snorkeling a storage bag with a lock on it is supplied to you at no extra charge to keep your dry clothes and valuables in it. You are given a key on a heavy string to either wear around your neck or you can pin it onto your swimming gear. The temp of the water isn't all that bad either...jumping into the water is the best way to get use to it.
The night shows are what made our stay even more unforgettable. It's a must to see the night shows that are going on in different parts of the park during the night.
